Friday, September 26,2008....... Mayor Dan Devine has declared Friday, September 26th ”Slovenian Day in West Allis”.    The UWM Slovenian Arts Council will host Slovene Author of Children Books, Majda Koren who will be introducing and reading in English from her book, “Louisa from Outer Space”, from the “Forget-Me-Not Series.   The author’s reading and Spela Brecelj’s cultural photo presentation for students studying Europe is scheduled at the West Allis Library.  6:00 P.M.  there will be a Bolina Exhibit Game at Veterans Park in West Allis.   6:30P.M. at West Allis City Hall - Council Chambers the UWM Slovenian Arts Council will host a Reception including  John Vlaj’s Art Paintings, Joe Hrovat’s Wood Carving Display, other Cultural Exhibits, live Entertainment (USPEH Slovenian Chorus & a Strolling musician) and Slovene desserts.  Free Admission.  Come Join Us - Celebrate!
